Hello,
hopefully someone can help me with the all the GPL/RCL details. I find it very difficult to interpret everything correctly (not a native speaker).
Company A is a corporate member of the OPC Foundation. Company B (us) is a non-member and develops a software tool for company A, which uses the OPC-UA dll (just the dll, no modifications to the sdk, company A provides the server, our app implements a client to get the data). The source code of the software tool will be given to company A too.
The Problem: We are using Unity (Game Engine) to develop the software tool and Unity is not compatible with GPL.
Question: As company A already is a corporate member and falls under the RCL, does this mean we can just use the OPC-UA dll and provide a compiled app as well as our source code, including the OPC-UA dll?Â
Thank you very much,
Steffen
